When Fact Checking Doesn’t Work: Rebuilding Public Trust in Local News Sources – Many resources about best fact checking practices exist; however, with public trust waning in traditional news media, the very mention of what counts as “mis/disinformation” is contentious. While there are no easy answers, we overview results from a regional survey about news consumption habits and offer ways that local news outlets might slowly work to rebuild trust in reliable information sources.
